Presenting the donation to the Central "For the Poor" Fund - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To shared that with the desire to contribute more resources together with the Party and State, the VFF has mobilized more than 2,000 billion VND to support the poor and people in difficult circumstances across the country and promote the emulation movement "The Army joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", in recent times, with the joint efforts of the entire army, the Ministry of National Defense has mobilized more than 2,000 billion VND to implement support activities.
In particular, responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025, the Army has supported the construction and repair of more than 18,000 houses; responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the entire army has also mobilized resources with over 10 billion VND to help people overcome the consequences of storms No. 10, 11 and post-storm circulation; joined hands to support the Cuban people with more than 33 billion VND... Agencies and units in the entire army also supported food, provisions, and essential necessities, helping people in the affected areas. That shows the determination and high responsibility of the Army towards the people.
According to Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, in recent years, the entire army has closely coordinated with Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations to do a good job of propagating and mobilizing people to comply with and successfully implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, national target programs, participate in sustainable economic, cultural, and social development, support people to reduce poverty, build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; be the core force in preventing and fighting natural disasters, epidemics, search and rescue.
From practical activities in the past time, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To hopes that the donated money will contribute more resources for the Central "For the Poor" Fund - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promptly care for and support the poor and people in difficult circumstances in society, helping each family overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
Thanking the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense for their support for the Central "For the Poor" Fund, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long emphasized that in recent times, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have always accompanied the Vietnam Fatherland Front in social security activities, supporting people to escape poverty, and building new rural areas. When the country is facing difficulties due to natural disasters, storms and floods, the image of officers and soldiers of the armed forces who are not afraid of hardship and danger, and help the people wholeheartedly has left emotional impressions.
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations Nguyen Phi Long pledged that all the money received from the Ministry of National Defense will be allocated promptly by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ensuring publicity and transparency to support families in difficult circumstances who need support; at the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, they would continue to receive the support of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense as well as the consensus and support of the business community, agencies, organizations and people so that the poor have more resources to stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably.
