Speaking at the Forum "Vietnamese Youth are ready for international integration" (the 2nd working session, the 13th National Youth Union Congress took place on the afternoon of June 24), delegate Tran Thi Ngoc Van - Secretary of the Youth Union of Dong Hoi High School (Quang Tri province) said that international integration is no longer a trend but has become an inevitable requirement for each country, each organization and especially for the young generation.
For students, international integration both opens up great opportunities to access modern knowledge, develop personal abilities, and sets increasingly high requirements for qualifications, skills and adaptability.
From practice, the Secretary of the Youth Union of Dong Hoi High School believes that the young generation is facing two important issues.
First, development opportunities have never been as wide open as they are now.
Thanks to the development of the Internet and digital platforms, students can access rich learning resources from all over the world, participate in online courses, international academic competitions and connect with friends from five continents without being limited by geographical distance.
Second, challenges are also increasing.
The integration process requires young people not only to be solid in professional knowledge but also to have foreign language skills, digital skills, critical thinking, creativity and adaptability to a multicultural environment. If they do not actively learn and innovate, they can easily fall behind in the global competition.
From the practical work of the Youth Union and youth movement at Dong Hoi High School, delegate Tran Thi Ngoc Van proposed a number of solutions to improve the international integration capacity for the young generation in the current period, in which it is necessary to strengthen digital capacity and technology application capabilities.
In the digital age, technology is not only a supporting tool but has become one of the core competencies of global citizens. Therefore, each union member and youth needs to proactively equip themselves with information technology knowledge, skills to exploit and effectively use digital platforms to serve learning, research and creativity" - the female delegate said.

Citing evidence at Dong Hoi High School, delegate Ngoc Van said that the application of technology in teaching, management and organization of Youth Union activities has created many positive changes.
We determine to continue to promote scientific research activities, digital transformation in learning, encourage students to participate in STEM, Informatics and creative playgrounds clubs to gradually master technology, meeting the requirements of the new era" - Secretary of the Youth Union of Dong Hoi High School said.
At the same time, according to the delegate, it is necessary to improve foreign language proficiency and build integration thinking for union members and youth.
Emphasizing that foreign languages are the key to opening the door to knowledge and connecting with the world, delegate Ngoc Van said that learning foreign languages needs to be seen as an inherent need and an essential skill of each student.
At Dong Hoi High School, in recent years, the foreign language learning movement at the school has had many positive changes through the activities of the English club, academic competitions, communication and experience playgrounds.
The school union continues to coordinate with the school to build a friendly learning environment, encourage students to use foreign languages in communication, and gradually form self-confidence, proactiveness and integration bravery.
Also according to the female delegate, deep integration but always preserving and promoting national cultural identity and school traditions. International integration is a process of integration for development, not dissolving.
Besides absorbing the cultural quintessence and knowledge of humanity, the young generation needs to be responsible for preserving the good traditional values of the nation, homeland and school.
