On December 28, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province informed that the unit had just organized a visit and supported Ta Nung Shelter in Cam Ly ward - Da Lat after the fire.
Mr. Pham Trieu - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province cordially visited and encouraged the young children being nurtured here.
Mr. Trieu also donated 185 million VND from the province's "For the Poor" Fund to support Ta Nung Shelter. In which, he donated support to 25 students being cared for here, 5 million VND each for living expenses; the remaining 60 million VND, supporting this facility to rebuild the row of rooms that had just been burned down.
Mr. Pham Kim Quang - Secretary of the Party Committee of Cam Ly ward - Da Lat said that Ta Nung Shelter (formerly known as the Humanitarian Kindergarten Class) is located in the campus of Tanh Linh Church. For many years, this facility has taken care of about 40 orphaned children who have been homeless since childhood.
Immediately after the fire, the government of Cam Ly ward - Da Lat urgently supported 60 million VND for Ta Nung Shelter to help the facility overcome the consequences and soon stabilize life and study for the children.
Representatives of Tanh Linh Church said that currently the living rooms and dining rooms are temporarily arranged as sleeping places for the children during the repair of the recently burned rooms.
Representatives of Tanh Linh Church also sent thanks to the local authorities and philanthropists who promptly came to share and support to repair the resting place for the children to soon stabilize their lives.
Recently, a fire suddenly occurred at Ta Nung Shelter belonging to Tanh Linh church. Functional forces of Cam Ly ward - Da Lat promptly arrived at the scene, coordinating to put out the fire.
At the time of the fire, the children were studying at outside facilities, so fortunately there were no casualties.
However, the fire completely burned down many items, books, and household items of the children. In addition, a part of the classroom building also collapsed and was heavily damaged, greatly affecting the activities of caring for and raising children.
