Ca Mau - In the middle of the southern ocean of the Fatherland, the road connecting the mainland to Hon Khoai Island and the dual-use port project are being constructed at an urgent pace.
The transportation route project from the mainland to Hon Khoai island and Hon Khoai dual-use integrated port along with the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway was started on August 19, 2025 in Ca Mau province.After more than 3 months of construction, the construction unit urgently constructed at the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway intersection, the access road to the bridge connecting Dat Mui with Hon Khoai. Ca Mau province has decided to convert 9.85ha of protection forest land to implement the Project to invest in building a traffic road to Hon Khoai island. With the site, the construction unit urgently worked overnight in the protection forest, adjacent to the sea.Vehicles and machinery are gathered and prepared ready on the shore in Dat Mui commune.A large volume of materials is gathered.Workers work day and night in the spirit of being faster than waves at the sea bridge construction site from Dat Mui to Hon Khoai.Offshore, machinery and equipment are also rushing to construct.At Hon Khoai island cluster, seawall sections are formed to prepare for the construction of Hon Khoai dual-use port.In difficult conditions amidst mangrove forests, sunshine and salty sea breezes do not make it difficult but also create more motivation to determinedly complete the task.Perspective of the sea bridge from the mainland to Hon Khoai Island, Ca Mau.
Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, the road to Hon Khoai island and Hon Khoai deep-water port will be started on August 19, 2025. The expressway is expected to be completed and put into use at the end of 2028; the remaining two projects will be completed in mid-2029. When put into use, the 3 key projects mentioned above promise to create a continuous transportation network and promote economic development, especially tourism and logistics potential for the "Southernmost Land of the Fatherland" region.
