On May 20, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City organized the program "Month of Listening to the People" in 2026 with the theme "Environment and Urban Civilization".
The program aims to promote the people's right to mastery, strengthen the great national unity bloc and improve the operational efficiency of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the new situation.
According to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, the program takes place in the context that the city is implementing Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU of the Hue City Party Committee on developing synchronous, modern, and smart cities associated with heritage cities to 2030.
This is a forum for all levels and sectors to listen to opinions and recommendations of the People related to environmental issues, urban infrastructure, transportation, site clearance and social order and safety. Thereby, it serves as a basis for perfecting policies, improving management efficiency and building Hue City in a green, smart, and culturally rich direction.

According to the Organizing Committee, before the program, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City received more than 40 opinions and reflections from people, union members, and association members. The content focused on groups of issues such as drainage, waste collection, urban green trees, traffic at hot spots, infrastructure renovation, site clearance, long-term planning and public land management.
Representatives of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City proposed that departments and branches after the program should develop specific plans to resolve the contents reflected by the people; publicize the roadmap and progress of implementation for each issue under their authority.
According to the plan, the "Month of Listening to the People" model will continue to be replicated in 40 communes and wards in Hue City in the near future.
