With a population of 98,578 households/379,588 people, 25 ethnic groups living together, 5 main religions including: Buddhism, Cao Dai, Hoa Hao, Catholicism, Protestantism, Quang Ngai province is an area with a particularly important position in terms of national defense and security.
Deeply aware of that importance, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have proactively promoted the role of the center of solidarity, gathering people; promoting people-to-people exchanges with border localities.
Every year, the Front at all levels coordinates with the Border Guard force and local authorities to organize hundreds of legal propaganda sessions, attracting 35,729 people to participate; focusing on disseminating contents on the National Border Law, Vietnam Border Guard Law, border management agreements and regulations. People's awareness of territorial sovereignty, awareness of law compliance and responsibility to participate in protecting border lines and landmarks have been clearly raised.
The Provincial Front has maintained affiliation activities between villages and hamlets on both sides of the border, currently there are over 4 affiliation villages and hamlets; organized many cultural and sports exchange activities, and exchanged production experiences. Exchange and delegation exchange activities are maintained regularly and continuously and achieve many outstanding results.
The province has proactively implemented Cooperation Memoranda with Attapeu, Sekong and Ratanakiri provinces; organized 12 conferences, including conferences to sign Cooperation Memoranda between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of Quang Ngai province with the United Front for National Development of Cambodia of Ratanakiri province (Kingdom of Cambodia); conference to sign Cooperation Memoranda between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Lao Front for National Construction of Attapeu and Sekong provinces. At the same time, the province has signed and effectively implemented Cooperation Memoranda between socio-political organizations of the province and corresponding organizations of Laos in the period 2024 - 2029, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the friendly and comprehensive cooperation relationship between localities.
Fronts at all levels have actively mobilized people to participate in self-management models, typically such as: Self-management groups for border lines and markers; Residential areas ensuring security and order. To date, the whole province has 101 collective villages (hamlets), 284 households and 273 individuals belonging to 16 communes, wards, special border areas, sea and islands voluntarily registered to participate in self-management of 292.913km of border lines and 86 markers; and at the same time, there are 129 groups with 1,114 households and individuals registered to participate in self-management groups on security and order in villages (hamlets).
