On January 15, Ms. Nguyen Thi Can, in Hong Son commune, Lam Dong province, shared that her family once fell into difficult circumstances when raising a disabled child. However, she regularly receives timely attention and support from the local women's union branch.
When it's most difficult, I always get help from women, not only materially but also spiritual encouragement. Through that, it helps me have more faith to rise up in life," Ms. Can said emotionally.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang - Head of the Women's Union branch in Thien Trung neighborhood, Mui Ne ward, Lam Dong province, the "5 No, 3 Clean" Club of the neighborhood currently has 63 members.
For the past 6 years, on the evening of the 16th of the lunar month every month, members have regularly participated in activities and contributed 5,000 VND/person to "hoo dat" savings.
From this fund, the branch has supported poor members, single women and families facing sudden difficulties; quarterly lending 4–5 members 4 million VND/loan, interest-free, for small business, medical treatment, and raising children to study.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Hai - Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Mui Ne ward - said that the whole ward currently has more than 13,000 women. Among them, there are still many difficult cases. Maintaining the savings-in-land pig farming model at branches has contributed to helping poor members develop the economy and stabilize their lives.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union, the movement of women helping each other overcome difficulties is spreading strongly in the province, with many flexible forms associated with the "5 no, 3 clean" family building campaign and the new rural construction program.
Models such as the women's savings group, the capital contribution group for economic development, "kind hands", raising pigs, collecting scrap... have become regular activities, showing the spirit of mutual affection and sharing with disadvantaged women.
Those simple actions are becoming a solid support, adding faith and motivation for women in difficult circumstances to rise up and build a prosperous and happy life.
In 2025, the Women's Union at all levels in Lam Dong province donated 1,421 livelihood models to members and poor and near-poor women; mobilized the amount of 4,226 million VND, 27 gold taels, nearly 10,000 seedlings and nearly 3,000 working days to help members' families in difficult circumstances.
Along with that, the Women's Unions at all levels in Lam Dong province have well promoted the role of connecting and maintaining 24 rotating capital contribution groups with 101.7 million VND, 7 savings groups with 60.5 million VND...
From resources, associations at all levels have helped 1,425 poor and near-poor women escape poverty.
