Previously, at noon on December 16, during the shift, Senior Lieutenant K'Nguyen, an officer of the Bac Gia Nghia Ward Police, received a report from Ms. Dang Thi Sen (48 years old, residing in Quang Khe Commune, Lam Dong Province) about mistakenly transferring a large amount of money to the bank account of a stranger.
Immediately after receiving the information, Bac Gia Nghia Ward Police urgently coordinated with the bank to verify and identify the owner of the account receiving the money as Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet (31 years old, residing in Ta Dung Commune, Lam Dong Province). Through investigation, the police determined that the amount of 499 million VND was transferred by Ms. Sen.
On the afternoon of December 19, Bac Gia Nghia Ward Police instructed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet to complete the procedures according to regulations to fully return the above amount to Ms. Dang Thi Sen.
