Over the past 5 years, patriotic emulation movements in Hai Duong ward have achieved many important results in many fields. In terms of economy - urban area, the total budget revenue for 5 years reached over 309 billion VND, basic construction investment expenditure was over 122 billion VND; the whole ward had 769 enterprises and 2,946 production and business households operating stably; average income reached 91 million VND/person/year.
Urban renovation work is concerned with the concreting of 100% of alleys, paving of nearly 10,000m2 sidewalks, renovating and upgrading more than 1,300m of concrete roads, and at the same time building and renovating many medical, educational and cultural works. Regarding culture - society and social security, the whole ward has 10/12 schools meeting national standards; the annual rate of cultural households reaches over 95%, 37/37 residential groups maintain the title of cultural residential groups.
The health and social security system is strengthened with 95% of the population having health insurance, 55% of workers participating in social insurance; the rate of malnourished children under 5 years old decreased to 4.5%. In particular, in the work of preventing the COVID-19 epidemic, the ward has recorded 6,527 cases of recovery, no deaths. Poverty reduction work has also achieved positive results when up to now, there are only 75 poor households (0.52%), the ward has completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses and supported the construction and repair of 11 houses for disadvantaged households.
In the field of national defense and security, in 5 years, the ward has selected enough 152 new recruits to reach 100% of the target, and issued chip-embedded ID cards to 100% of citizens of all ages. Along with that, the locality has built 42 models of fire prevention and fighting inter-family groups and more than 60 public fire fighting points, contributing to maintaining security, order and social safety.
At the conference, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong ward awarded certificates of merit to 24 collectives and 48 individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 2020 - 2025, thereby encouraging and motivating the spirit of emulation, replicating many advanced models in the coming time.
Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Van - Chairman of the Ward People's Committee launched a new emulation movement, calling on all cadres, party members, armed forces, businesses and people to continue to unite, strive to overcome difficulties, compete to successfully complete socio-economic development goals. The focus is on: rapid and sustainable economic development; building a civilized and smart urban area; improving the quality of education, healthcare, and social security; maintaining national defense and security; promoting administrative reform, digital transformation; replicating advanced models.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Cong Quan - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council emphasized: The first typical advanced conference is an important political event, both honoring achievements and adding motivation for the entire Party Committee, government and people of the ward to compete to achieve many new achievements, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Ward Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term. Mr. Pham Cong Quan called on each cadre, party member and people to promote the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of innovation and creativity, continue to replicate advanced models, and join hands to build Hai Duong ward to become more civilized and beautiful.
