On the evening of April 13, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union advised on organizing a program for Ho Chi Minh City leaders to meet Lao and Cambodian students studying in the city on the occasion of the Bunpimay traditional Tet (Laos) and the Chol Chnam Thmey traditional Tet (Cambodia).

At the program, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent New Year greetings to Lao and Cambodian students studying in the city.
The Party Committee, government, people and youth of the city always cherish the close feelings and companionship of the people of the 3 countries through the difficult periods of history. Believing that this is a valuable spiritual asset, a foundation for young generations to continue to nurture, continue to write and spread the story of sincere, loyal and sustainable friendship.

The city also acknowledged and praised the role of educational institutions and Youth Union - Association organizations in organizing many practical activities, contributing to strengthening cultural exchanges and tightening solidarity and friendship between students of the 3 countries.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that the city believes that, in a dynamic, open and deeply integrated environment, Lao and Cambodian students will continue to promote their role as an important bridge, contributing to promoting exchanges and cooperation between youths of the 3 countries. Representatives of Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City, student Thon Bunheng - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Cambodian Student Association, research student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics shared that although celebrating Tet away from home, not being able to reunite with family and relatives, they always feel warm when receiving attention and support from city leaders, organizations and union members, Vietnamese youth. For them, Ho Chi Minh City is gradually becoming their second homeland.
