On the afternoon of September 9, the Lao Cai Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council held its second meeting in 2026, reviewing dossiers requesting state-level and provincial-level commendation and emulation titles in the field of education and training for the 2025-2026 school year.
At the meeting, the Department of Home Affairs reported on the results of appraising commendation dossiers for collectives and individuals of agencies, units, and localities in the province.
The content of review focuses on forms of State-level, provincial-level commendation and emulation titles in the field of education and training in the 2025 - 2026 school year.
According to the review results, the Lao Cai Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council unanimously proposed to award and posthumously award Labor Medals of various ranks for their contributions to 59 individuals.
The Council also unanimously proposed to award the Third-class Independence Medal to 1 collective, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of the province; proposed to award the Third-class Labor Medal to 21 individuals.
On the occasion of the first Congress of Lao Cai Provincial Buddhist Delegates, term 2026 - 2031, the Council unanimously proposed to award the Third-class Labor Medal to 1 collective and the Second and Third-class Labor Medals to 2 individuals belonging to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Lao Cai province.
Regarding the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit, the Council considered the dossiers and unanimously submitted them to competent authorities for commendation for 91 individuals with achievements meeting the conditions according to regulations.
With the title of Provincial-level Emulation Soldier, the Council unanimously submitted a list of 5 individuals who meet the standards.
In considering rewarding the summary of the 2025 - 2026 school year, the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council unanimously proposed to award the Government's Emulation Flag to 12 school units.
In addition, 44 collectives were proposed to receive the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee and 41 collectives were proposed to be awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The dossiers are considered based on the appraisal results, actual achievements and standards and conditions according to regulations on emulation and commendation.
Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, First Vice Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council - emphasized that commending the right people and the right achievements not only recognizes the contributions of collectives and individuals but also contributes to creating motivation and spreading patriotic emulation movements in the area.
Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh requested the standing agency of the Council to fully absorb the opinions at the meeting, urgently complete dossiers and procedures for cases that meet the conditions to submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision according to regulations.
