Hanoi Front proactively supports people in responding to widespread rain

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City and member organizations in many localities support people in responding to heavy rain and flooding.

In the affected areas, the Front coordinated with Party committees, authorities and local forces to grasp the situation, support people, reinforce key positions, provide essential goods and propagate and guide safe movement.

In Quang Bi commune, the Bui River flood rose, causing hundreds of households to be affected. The locality mobilized forces to prevent overflows, support essential goods and temporarily ban people and vehicles from traveling through Lam Dien pontoon bridge, An Hien pontoon bridge, Mai bridge and some temporary flooded bridges.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and socio-political organizations visited and presented gifts to support 10 households affected by flooding. Units continue to review affected households, especially families in difficult circumstances, elderly people or young children, to provide timely support.

In Xuan Mai commune, the water level of the Bui River continued to rise, and some low sections on the Bui 2 dike line experienced dike overflows. Shock forces for disaster prevention and control, people and soldiers of Battalion 3, Tank Brigade 201 participated in building low-lying dike sections, and at the same time patrolled to promptly reinforce key positions.

The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations coordinate to inform and mobilize people not to pass through deep flooded areas, fast-flowing water; not to voluntarily return to evacuated areas without safety notices.

For production and animal husbandry, people are guided to proactively remove livestock from areas at risk of being affected; aquaculture households proactively harvest if they meet the conditions or encircle and fence to limit damage.

In Kieu Phu commune, heavy rain and rising Tich River water caused many low-lying areas to be flooded. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune directly went to 3 villages Liep Tuyet, Can Ha and Muon Ro to grasp the situation and visit affected households.

Front officials directly record life, living conditions, listen to opinions and recommendations of the people to summarize, reflect and coordinate with relevant agencies for support.

From Quang Bi, Xuan Mai to Kieu Phu, the network of Front officials, union members, association members and Front Work Committees in residential areas has promoted its role as close to the people, close to the people, connecting the government with the people, mobilizing community strength in responding to flooding, contributing to ensuring safety and supporting people to soon stabilize their lives.
