On the afternoon of September 5, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Lao Cai province held the 2nd Conference for the 2024-2029 term to discuss and give opinions on the draft Political Report to the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province - chaired the conference. Attending were more than 100 delegates representing socio-political organizations, Committee members, leaders of advisory councils and representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of communes and wards.

The report at the conference showed that immediately after the merger of provinces, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels quickly stabilized the organization, improved personnel and issued directive documents, ensuring smooth operations.
Preparations for the Vietnam Fatherland Front congresses at all levels have been implemented on schedule, including the development of documents, personnel projects and organization of commune-level point congresses.
In recent times, the Provincial Fatherland Front has promoted many practical activities such as mobilizing more than 2,200 households, organizing the handover of land to serve the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project ahead of schedule; mobilizing social resources to build civil works, livelihood models, supporting poor households, disadvantaged workers and people in disaster areas.
Social supervision and criticism work has also been focused on, with many creative models such as "Listening to the People" or "Listening to the People's Handbook" on digital platforms.

At the conference, delegates contributed many enthusiastic opinions to the draft Political Report of the Provincial Party Congress and the documents of the 14th National Party Congress.
Many opinions focus on building a strong political system from the grassroots, promoting the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in consolidating the great national unity bloc.
In her concluding remarks, Ms. Giang Thi Dung acknowledged the sense of responsibility and collective intelligence of the delegates; at the same time, emphasized the task in the coming time of focusing on preparing for the First Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2025 - 2030, ensuring this is an extensive political activity, a festival of great solidarity of the entire people.
