An Giang - The election here took place in a serious atmosphere, in accordance with legal regulations.

On March 15, along with millions of voters across the country, more than 900 people being temporarily detained and imprisoned at Detention Center No. 1 and Detention Center No. 2 under An Giang Provincial Police exercised their citizenship and participated in voting for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The election here took place in a serious atmosphere, in accordance with legal regulations. Directly present to direct and supervise the election work were Colonel Tran Van Cung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Head of the Criminal Judgment Enforcement and Judicial Assistance Agency of the Provincial Police and representatives of the An Giang Provincial Procuracy.

Previously, to prepare for the election day, the Board of Directors of Detention Center No. 1 and Detention Center No. 2 closely coordinated with relevant units to conduct reviews, compile voter lists and publicly post them. Propaganda about the election law, delegate standards and voting procedures was also widely deployed to each cell, helping people being temporarily detained and temporarily imprisoned understand their rights and obligations.

On election day, ballot boxes are brought to detention cell areas for voters to vote. The Provincial Police force has strengthened protection plans, ensuring absolute security and order throughout the election process. The organization of voting for temporarily detained and imprisoned people shows the humanity of the law, ensuring human rights and citizens' rights even in restricted conditions of freedom.

At the polling station, voters carefully studied the list of candidates and conducted voting in accordance with the spirit of responsibility. According to records, by the end of the morning of the same day, 100% of voters at Detention Center No. 1 and Detention Center No. 2 had completed the voting, ensuring safety and on schedule.

The successful organization of the election by An Giang Provincial Police at detention facilities not only affirms the rule of law but also contributes to the overall success of the all-people festival in An Giang province.
