Acting Minister Tran Duc Thang
Lead, direct and comprehensively manage the activities of the Ministry according to the functions, tasks and powers of the Ministry.
Responsibilities for work: law making, policies, strategies, planning, breakthrough mechanisms, general development plans of the industry; organizational work, cadres, civil servants, and public employees; administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment; preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; inspecting, receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations.
Directly in charge of the following units: Department of Organization and Personnel, Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment.
Perform the duties of Government members according to the provisions of the Law on Government Organization and the Government's Working Regulations.
Perform tasks at councils, steering committees, and inter-sectoral coordination organizations established and assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep
Direct the fields: irrigation; natural disaster prevention; water resources.
Responsibilities for work: planning - finance; investment; management of state-owned enterprises under the Ministry; gender equality, for the advancement of women. Assist the Minister in charge of the work of: preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa
Direct the fields: land; sea and islands; measurement and map; remote sensing.
Responsibilities for work: emulation, rewards; training and fostering cadres, civil servants, and public employees; nursing, rehabilitation of functions; implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations; work on arranging real estate facilities for agencies and units under the Ministry. Assist the Minister in charge of the work: organizing the apparatus, payroll, cadres, civil servants, and public employees; inspection work, receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations.
Directly in charge of the following units: Department of Land Management; Department of Vietnam Sea and Islands; Department of Surveying, Mapping and Geographical Information of Vietnam; Department of National Tourism Organization; Institute of Surveying and Mapping Science; Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien
Directing the field: geology and minerals.
Responsible for work: information technology, digital transformation.
Directly in charge of the following units: Vietnam Geological and Mineral Resources Administration; Department of Digital Transformation; Office of the National Mineral Resources Assessment Council, Institute of Geological Sciences and Minerals.
Responsibility, monitoring: Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La provinces.
Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam
Direct the field: management of agricultural, forestry, fishery and agricultural materials quality; processing and developing the agricultural product market; quality management, food safety and hygiene; agricultural promotion and construction of raw material areas that meet export standards; salt industry management.
Responsibility for work: training work of academies, universities, colleges under the Ministry (except for training and fostering cadres, civil servants, and public employees).
Directly in charge of the units: Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development; National Agricultural Extension Center; Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion; Office of National Notice and respondent Point on Environmental Sanitation and Quarantine of Vietnam (SPS Vietnam Office); academies, universities, and colleges under the Ministry. Assist the Minister in charge of: Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment.
Responsibility, monitoring: Can Tho city and Vinh Long, An Giang, Dong Thap, Ca Mau provinces.
Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien
Direct the fields: aquaculture; fisheries control; animal husbandry; veterinary; search and rescue at sea.
In charge of work: science and technology; communication, journalism; mass mobilization.

Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh
Directing the fields: environment, hydrometeorology, climate change.

Responsibility, monitoring: Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Tri
Direct the fields: forestry, forest rangers; nature conservation and biodiversity.

Deputy Minister Hoang Trung
Directing the field: cultivation; plant protection.
Responsibility for work: international cooperation; restructuring the agricultural sector; arranging and innovating the operations of state-owned agricultural and forestry companies.
Directly in charge of the following units: Department of International Cooperation; Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection; Vietnam Institute of Agricultural Sciences; Institute of Agricultural Planning and Design; Institute of Agricultural Mechanical Engineering and Post-harvest Technology; Agricultural Project Management Board.

Deputy Minister Vo Van Hung
Directing the field: rural development.
Responsible for work: legal affairs; office; poverty reduction; new rural construction. Assist the Minister in charge of administrative reform and improving the investment and business environment.
Directly in charge of the following units: Legal Department; Ministry Office; Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development; Central New Rural Coordination Office; National Office for Poverty Reduction.
Responsibilities, monitoring: Hue city, Da Nang city and Quang Ngai province.
The Deputy Ministers will all perform additional tasks as assigned and authorized by the Minister.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and replacing Decision No. 389/QD-BNNMT dated March 12, 2025 of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment.
