Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Can Tho City - attended and directed the congress.
During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Khe Ward has constantly innovated its content and methods of operation, promoted its role as a bridge between the Party, government and people, mobilized 75% of households to participate in socio-political organizations, and focused on the role of prestigious people in the community.
The movements "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Creative solidarity" and "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" were effectively implemented, mobilizing non-budgetary resources of over 1.4 billion VND. Social security care, the "For the Poor" Fund and the "Social Security and Welfare" program have also been actively implemented.
Cai Khe Ward Front also proactively contributed ideas to build a Party, government, supervision and social criticism; the movement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" was responded to by the people in many creative and practical ways.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao praised the outstanding results that the Fatherland Front of Cai Khe Ward has achieved in recent years.
Ms. Dao suggested that the Fatherland Front of Cai Khe Ward continue to promote the strength of great national unity, mobilize all resources to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Ward for the 2025-2030 term.
The Front focuses on implementing emulation movements and campaigns with the motto "Form of concentration, practical content; drastic action, practical effectiveness", focusing on building civilized urban areas, sustainable poverty reduction; innovating methods of activities close to the people, diversifying forms of mobilization and applying digital transformation.
At the same time, promote the role of prestigious people and religious dignity in the community, create social consensus, mobilize people to implement the Party's policies, State laws, participate in emulation movements, campaigns launched by the Front and member organizations.
She also emphasized improving the quality of supervision, social criticism, implementing democracy at the grassroots level, organizing the peak month "For the Poor", the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", improving the quality of the Great Unity Festival, promoting the role of self-management of the community and perfecting the Front staff to meet the requirements of new tasks.
At the Congress, delegates agreed that the number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Khe Ward for the 2025-2030 term was 55; of which 49 were short-term and 6 were short-term.
At the first session, the Congress democratically elected the Standing Committee and positions in the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward. Mr. Tran Tien Dung holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Khe Ward for the 2025-2030 term.
