The Congress was attended by nearly 200 outstanding delegates representing nearly 70,000 cadres and farmers of all ethnic groups in the province.
The Congress announced the decisions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union on appointing the Executive Committee of the Lai Chau Farmers' Union, term XI, 2025-2030, consisting of 39 comrades; the Standing Committee of 8 comrades; the Inspection Committee of 5 comrades.
Mr. Vuong Duc Loi was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Lai Chau province, term XI, 2025-2030.
The Congress also appointed the delegation to attend the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 12 official delegates and 3 absent delegates.
At the Congress, Mr. Vuong Duc Loi said that the average growth rate of the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector in the 2023-2025 period is estimated to reach nearly 5%/year. Commodity-producing regions are gradually taking shape, with key products such as commodity rice, tea, fruit trees, medicinal herbs, macadamia, etc.
The whole province has built and developed 226 OCOP products reaching 3 to 4 stars.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Congress agreed to set 6 term targets, 12 annual targets and 2 breakthrough tasks.
In which, 4,500 or more new members were admitted; 85 newly established Professional Farmers' Associations and 15 branches of the Professional Farmers' Associations; supported the establishment of 50 new Agricultural Cooperative Groups and 6 Agricultural Cooperatives...
