Mobilizing social resources, spreading the spirit of humanity
During the past term, the "For the Poor" Fund and social security programs were deployed by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ca Mau province and mobilized more than 345 billion VND from businesses, organizations, individuals, overseas Vietnamese and the social community. From this resource, hundreds of thousands of poor and near-poor households, policy families and people in especially difficult circumstances have been supported promptly and to the right beneficiaries.

Many outstanding programs are implemented annually by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations such as: Giving Tet gifts to the poor, Trade Union Tet markets, supporting house repair and construction, giving gifts to people with meritorious services, visiting the poor and sick people, helping people affected by natural disasters and fires... These activities clearly demonstrate the spirit of "mutual love", connecting the community, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the political system.

One of the programs that creates a strong change in the lives of people in the province is the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses jointly implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province. To date, the whole province has completed 9,594 houses, including more than 7,000 newly built houses and more than 2,500 repaired houses, with a total cost of over VND599 billion. Not only contributing more than 324 billion VND from the "For the Poor" Fund, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province also mobilized union members, youth, army, police and community to contribute 14,987 working days, support materials, transportation and directly participate in building houses.
Timely support when natural disasters and incidents occur
With the characteristics of a coastal province affected by storms, high tides, and landslides, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province has regularly paid attention to implementing natural disaster relief work for local people. In addition, promoting the spirit of mutual love, in 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province mobilized more than 20.8 billion VND along with hundreds of tons of goods and necessities to support people in the North affected by storm No. 3.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province coordinated with the Red Cross Society and member organizations in the province to visit and promptly support people affected by fires, traffic accidents, serious illnesses, sudden serious incidents... with a total cost of more than 119 billion VND.
Through the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province has implemented a series of self-management models in the residential community. To date, the whole province has more than 1,882 effective operating models, typically: Environmental protection model, food safety; traffic safety; building security and order; economic development; Proud to use Vietnamese goods...

Not only stopping at immediate support, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province identifies livelihood support as a fundamental solution to sustainable poverty reduction. Activities to support capital, breeds, livelihood models, and technical training have been effectively coordinated with socio-political organizations. This is also one of the 3 breakthrough tasks set by the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province in the 2025-2030 term.
In addition to material support activities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province also focuses on promoting democracy, enhancing supervision and social criticism, listening to the thoughts and aspirations of the people. Forums "Listen to the people" , meetings with voters, supervision of social security implementation... help many pressing issues of the people to be reflected and resolved promptly. Through that, the Front continues to affirm its role as a representative of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party, the State and the political system.
With the foundation that has been built, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province continues to affirm its role as a center of solidarity, a bridge between the Party, the State and the people, actively contributing to the goal of building Ca Mau province to develop and rise up, worthy of the position and geography of the southernmost province of the Fatherland.
