On May 16, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province coordinated with the Provincial Federation of Labor to organize the launching ceremony of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) and Workers' Month in 2025 with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace - Vietnamese workers pioneering in the new era".
In response to the Action Month on OSH and the working month in 2025, the Labor Federation of Ca Mau Province focused on implementing practical and depth activities, towards strengthening the confidence, improving the prestige and position of the Trade Union organization in taking care of and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Directing trade unions at all levels to organize the deployment of emulation movements in workers, officials and workers, especially the emulation movement "Creative workers, firmly enter the new era"; Organizing the program "Thank you for employees" at enterprises; organize the forum "Party with workers - workers with the Party"; organize visits, gifts, support for health care for workers; Implementing the peak month of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; strengthen propaganda activities, raise awareness of laws on labor, trade unions and commune insurance; propaganda about the glorious tradition of the working class and trade union of Vietnam; Tuyen passed on OSH; propagandize and raise awareness for union members and workers to the Party Congress at all levels;
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Luan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau Province - suggested provincial departments, agencies and branches according to the functions and tasks to coordinate with localities, businesses and relevant units to focus on building and implementing the program and action plan on occupational safety and sanitation. Strengthen supervision and management of risk risks, well implement solutions to improve working conditions, prevent labor accidents and occupational diseases.
The provincial Labor Confederation coordinates with enterprises to organize a series of activities in the action month, ensuring practicality, close to the actual situation of workers, officials and employees. Promote the propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, policies and laws, associated with the reality of life and working conditions of workers, well implementing the regimes and policies. In particular, focusing on participating in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, negotiating signing of collective labor agreements, strengthening social, cultural and sports activities for workers.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province suggested that businesses and production and business establishments pay more attention to occupational safety and hygiene. Self-inspect, evaluate, and manage risks at the workplace to proactively prevent, prevent, and limit occupational accidents and diseases.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also called on workers, laborers and all people to continue raising their awareness and responsibility in exchange for complying with the provisions of the law on labor safety. Always improve technical expertise, gradually master science and technology, quickly adapt to the working environment, have industrial style and labor discipline, and meet the requirements in the current context.
At the launching ceremony, the Labor Federation of Ca Mau province presented the symbolic table of 24 union houses to union members and workers in difficult circumstances of housing (newly built, repaired 6 units) with a total amount of more than 1 billion. At the same time, the funding supports 400 gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances with the total amount of VND 200 million. At the launching ceremony, the provincial Labor Federation gave 257 gifts directly, each worth 500,000 VND; The rest of the provincial Labor Federation will set up delegations to organize visits and gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in units and businesses.
