This activity is on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1945 - July 27, 2025).

At the meeting with local people, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh affirmed that War Invalids and Martyrs Day is an occasion to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution. Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her deep affection for policy families in the area and emphasized the regular attention of the Party, State and National Assembly for the care of people with meritorious services.

According to Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, in recent times, many preferential policies have been adjusted and issued promptly, including increasing subsidies and organizing gift giving on important occasions such as the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the 80th anniversary of National Day and the War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
It is expected that in the coming quarters, the Government will issue new decrees to further improve the preferential policy for meritorious people and support the youth volunteer force that participated in the resistance war.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh also acknowledged the positive results that Tay Ninh province has achieved in the work of "repaying gratitude". 100% of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the area are cared for carefully; the entire commune and ward have implemented policies for people with meritorious services. On the occasion of July 27 this year, the province presented over 37,000 gifts with a total cost of more than 12.7 billion VND.

In addition to the gratitude activity, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh also informed about innovations in legislative activities. The 15th National Assembly held 18 sessions (both regular and ad hoc) passing 99 laws and more than 200 resolutions. In particular, at the recent 9th Session, the National Assembly decided to amend the 2013 Constitution, rearrange provincial-level administrative units, shorten the term of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, and at the same time approve policies that have a practical impact on people's lives.
In the program, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh presented 200 gifts to policy families in Tan Dong commune and sent 300 gifts to people with meritorious services in Cau Khoi and Hung Thuan communes. On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh also presented a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh to the Party Committee, government and people of Tan Dong commune.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh suggested that Tay Ninh province continue to effectively implement policies and guidelines for people with meritorious services; strive to improve material and spiritual life, while promoting the search and collection of martyrs' remains, and educating the younger generation about patriotism.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her confidence that war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and meritorious people are always shining examples of determination, contributing to the development of the country. At the same time, he hoped that policy families would continue to promote the tradition, actively participate in building new rural areas, protecting security and order and developing the local economy.
