The "Digital education movement" is identified as a knowledge revolution, contributing to improving digital capacity for the entire population, gradually forming a digital society, digital economy and digital citizens.
In Quang Tri, this movement is being implemented synchronously and drastically by the entire political system, in which the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels plays a core role with many practical and effective methods.
On December 20, according to Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province Le Cong Cuong, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has been organizing many classes right in the community, mobilizing mass forces to participate in the models of "Digital Ambassador", "C community digital technology group".
These forces regularly visit each residential area, focusing on supporting disadvantaged groups, ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital transformation process.
In Dong Thuan ward, the "Digital education" movement is flexibly deployed right in residential areas. Vietnam Fatherland Front officials and associations and unions directly instruct people on basic operations on smartphones, from installing applications to using utilities for daily activities.
With the motto "hands-on pointing work", the guidance is implemented slowly and easily understood, helping the elderly feel more confident when accessing digital technology, especially utilities such as VNeID, online public services, digital payments.
According to Mr. Ngo Dinh Nam, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thuan Ward, Secretary of the Ward Youth Union, when there is persistent support, technology is no longer a barrier. The "Digital education movement" is quietly spreading, becoming a bridge to help people gradually get into the rhythm of digital life.
In Minh Hoa commune, shock groups with the core being union members and young people were deployed at the Public Administration Service Center of communes, village and hamlet cultural houses to support people when performing online administrative procedures. At the same time, these groups also go to the village, have instructions on installing the VNeID application, using the Public Service Portal and basic digital skills.
According to the assessment, the "Digital education" movement has had a positive impact on social life. However, many people, especially the elderly, people in remote areas and disadvantaged households, still have limited access to digital skills, and need more time and close support from grassroots staff.
In the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and mass organizations in Quang Tri will continue to replicate support models, enhance communication, raise awareness and participation of people, aiming to help all people, especially vulnerable groups, access digital skills easily and substantially.
