8:28: Historical milestone of the Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central organizations
Comrade Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front delivered the opening speech of the congress.
Comrade Do Van Chien emphasized that in the exciting and proud atmosphere of the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army, just celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day 2.9; the whole country is competing, striving to successfully complete the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and towards the 14th National Congress of the whole country. Implementing Directive No. 45-CT/TW of the Politburo, by August 25, 2025, 25 Party committees, grassroots Party cells and grassroots levels of the Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations had completed the congress, ensuring progress and quality.
With the consent of the Politburo and the Secretariat, today, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations solemnly held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. This is a congress of very important political significance, not only laying the foundation for the orientation of the leadership of the Party Committee for this term, but also orienting the leadership of the Party Committee in the following terms.
8:15: Attending the congress were: Comrade To Lam - General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister, Secretary of the Government Party Committee; Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central agencies; Comrade Pham The Duyet - former Standing Member, Standing Member of the Politburo, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Politburo members, Secretariat members, former Politburo members, former members of the Secretariat, former members of the State Secretariat, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and comrades of the Party Central Committee.
It is expected that in the official session, leaders of the Party and State will attend and give a speech at the congress.
According to the draft political report of the Party Executive Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee and Central organizations for the 2020-2025 term submitted to the Congress, in the past term, Party committees at all levels have deeply grasped the policies and viewpoints of the 13th National Party Congress; resolutions, conclusions, directives and instructions of the Central Committee; resolutions of the Party Congresses at the upper levels; Party committees at all levels have closely coordinated with the Party delegations and leaders of agencies and organizations (previously) and the Party Committees have now closely followed reality and implemented political tasks. The focus is on leading and directing the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and the State to promote their core role so that the people can master, gather, gather, mobilize, consolidate and strengthen the great national unity bloc in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Implementing patriotic emulation movements, Party committees and organizations at all levels have focused on leading and directing the implementation of many movements and activities, notably: Promoting social security work and eliminating dilapidated houses: have successfully built and repaired more than 180,000 Great Unity houses for the poor. In particular, the Housing for the Poor Program in Dien Bien province has mobilized resources to build over 5,000 houses, which has been recognized by the Politburo as a bright spot in terms of organization, implementation, effectiveness and creating influence.
Natural disaster prevention and control: During the third storm of 2024, the metropolis called on all people to donate 1,845 billion VND to provide emergency relief to 26 northern provinces and cities. For the first time, the "number" of the Central Relief Fund was publicly announced, timely allocation of funds to support people in disadvantaged areas, demonstrating a sense of responsibility, publicity, transparency, and high acceptance of society...
Leadership work to improve the quality of social supervision and response is increasingly substantial and effective, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and government. Under the direct and comprehensive leadership of Party committees at all levels, the supervision and social criticism work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State are being promoted, increasingly disciplined, and promoted an important role in promoting democracy, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people.
Party committees at all levels have paid attention to directing the serious implementation of Decisions No. 217-QD/TW and Decision No. 218-QD/TW, dated December 12, 2013 of the Politburo on social supervision, criticism and giving comments on Party and government building. During the period, the entire system of the Fatherland Front deployed 231,110 supervision teams, of which: the central level organized 31 thematic supervision teams, the provincial level 7,508 teams, the district level 39,794 teams, the commune level 183,808 teams. The monitoring content focuses on areas directly related to people's lives such as: land management and use, budget, environmental protection, social security, implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations, corruption prevention and control, public employees, etc.
Previously, on September 22, the first Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Organizations for the 2025-2030 term held a postponed session.
The Congress was attended by 346 delegates representing more than 5,000 Party members of the Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations.
At the admission session, the congress voted to approve the list of the Presidium, Secretariat and the Delegation for the Inspection of Delegation status; approve the Program, Internal Regulations, and Working Regulations of the Congress.
The delegates listened to a report summarizing the opinions on the draft Documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.
