On March 1st, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Truc commune (Lam Dong province) coordinated with Dak Dang Border Guard Stations, Bu P'Rang Border Gate, Bu Chap to enthusiastically organize the "National Border Guard Day" in 2026.
At the program, many cultural and artistic activities, lively folk games took place, tightening the military-civilian solidarity in the border area.
Quang Truc commune has more than 41km of border adjacent to Mondulkiri province (Cambodia), with 26 ethnic groups living together. Among them, ethnic minorities account for a large proportion.

The area is large, the population is dispersed, the socio-economy is still difficult, and there are potential complex factors regarding rural security... Therefore, the locality identifies the organization of the "All People Border Guard Day" as a key and consistent political task.
Propaganda work is implemented diversely through conferences, village activities, integrating holidays, Great National Unity Festivals; loudspeaker system and social networks.
The Party's guidelines, policies, and laws on national borders, the Vietnam Border Guard Law, and the National Border Protection Strategy have been widely disseminated, raising people's awareness and responsibility in protecting sovereignty and maintaining security and order.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Tu, Political Commissar of Dak Dang Border Guard Station, said that the movement "All people participate in protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security in the new situation" continues to be promoted.

Self-management teams for border lines, landmarks, and security and order teams in villages have been strengthened, promoting their core role in patrolling, protecting border markers, and providing information to handle cases.
In 2025, forces coordinated to detect and handle many violations such as theft, drugs, gambling, illegal entry and exit; effectively fighting human trafficking crimes, contributing to maintaining security in border areas.
In addition to the task of protecting sovereignty, border posts also advise on building grassroots political systems, supporting socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction with many meaningful models such as "Raising children to school", "Children adopted by the Border Guard Station", "Accompanying border women", "Border Spring warms the hearts of villagers"... Thereby, strengthening the bond between soldiers and people.
According to Chairman of Quang Truc Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Anh, the 2026 festival has mobilized the strength of the entire political system and the entire people in protecting sovereignty, consolidating military-civilian solidarity, and creating a foundation for local development.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 21 individuals with outstanding achievements; awarded 35 scholarships belonging to the "Children raising Border Guard Stations" model and the "Army officers and soldiers supporting children to school" project.
