On the afternoon of February 27, Bat Xat Commune People's Committee organized the 2026 National Border Guard Day, towards celebrating the 67th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Border Guards (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2026) and the 37th Anniversary of National Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2026). This is a program selected by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee to organize a pilot program.
In 2025, the commune deployed 73 propaganda sessions with 3,909 participants; broadcast for 90 hours; distributed more than 5,000 legal leaflets on border guards and borders.
Bat Xat Border Guard Station appointed 10 party members to participate in activities in border village and hamlet Party cells; assigned 26 party members to be in charge of 116 households. The whole commune currently maintains 10 self-management groups for border lines and markers and 55 self-management groups for security and order.
Implementing Directive 01/CT-TTg, local Party committees and authorities have strengthened coordination with border guard forces to implement socio-economic development programs associated with consolidating national defense and security in border areas; contributing to building a solid "people's heart formation".
In the coming time, Bat Xat commune will continue to promote legal propaganda on national borders; proactively grasp the situation, ensure political security, social order and safety in the border area.
On this occasion, the Border Guard Command of Bat Xat commune commended typical collectives and individuals; presented gifts to 100 households and organized many cultural and sports activities, creating a joyful atmosphere among the people.
