On July 22, Tan Hiep Ward People's Committee (HCMC) said that on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the Tan Hiep Ward Veterans Association organized a delegation to visit, give gifts and encourage members in difficult circumstances in the ward.
At the visiting locations, Mr. Vu Minh Phuong - Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ward Veterans Association and members of the delegation cordially inquired about the health, daily life and listened to the thoughts and aspirations of the members and their families.
The delegation handed over 18 meaningful gifts to 18 veteran members in difficult circumstances in the area. The gifts, although not large in material terms, are a great source of spiritual encouragement, showing the affection of comrades and teammates who are closely attached.
Mr. Vu Minh Phuong said that this gratitude activity is an opportunity to review the heroic tradition, express deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations in the cause of national liberation struggle as well as in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. At the same time, this is also a vivid proof of the spirit of "Mutual affection", the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" always being strongly promoted in the locality.
