On July 15, General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army led a working delegation of the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense to offer incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Temple of Heroic Martyrs of the Vi Xuyen Front - Incense Stele 468; visit and give gifts to forces performing tasks and policy families in Thanh Thuy commune.
At the Temple of Heroes and Martyrs of the Vi Xuyen Front - Incense Stele 468, the working delegation respectfully offered flowers, incense, and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed to protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
The Vi Xuyen Front is the place where extremely fierce battles took place, with more than 4,000 officers and soldiers sacrificed, more than 9,000 people injured, and to this day thousands of martyrs' remains have not been found or repatriated.
The working delegation visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of the Team for Searching and Repatriating Martyrs' Remains, Tuyen Quang Provincial Military Command and the Bomb and Mine Disposal Team under Company Limited MTV Bomb and Mine Disposal 319, Corporation 319 (Ministry of National Defense).

In the past time, the two units have mobilized maximum forces and vehicles, closely coordinated to deploy the task of clearing bombs and mines, searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains. Since implementing the "Operation 500 Days and Nights", 28 martyrs' remains and 5 collective graves have been repatriated.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility of officers and soldiers in performing the task of clearing bombs and mines, searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains. At the same time, he requested units to continue to overcome difficulties and strengthen coordination to effectively implement the "Operation 500 Days and Nights".
The working delegation also visited and worked with officers and soldiers of Thanh Thuy International Border Gate Border Guard Station, grasped the situation of border management, combat readiness, and building regularity.

On this occasion, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army presented 100 gifts to policy families; presented gifts to doctors and nurses of Central Military Hospital 108 performing medical examination and treatment tasks in Thanh Thuy commune; presented gifts to 4 collectives and supported milk worth 216 million VND for students in difficult circumstances in Thanh Thuy commune.
At the program, leaders of the Ministry of Health presented 50 gifts, 50 bicycles to poor students and presented gifts to Thanh Thuy Commune Health Station. Commander of Military Region 2 presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households and households in difficult circumstances in Thanh Thuy commune.
