Thanh Hoa - The province is seeking opinions on a draft resolution stipulating the level of spending to support the Fatherland Front Working Committee in residential areas, with a maximum of 20 million VND/year.

On September 20, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Finance said that the unit has developed a draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the level of support for the Fatherland Front Working Committee in residential areas in the province and requested public publication to collect opinions from organizations and individuals.

According to the draft, the level of support is determined based on the population size of each residential area, specifically:

Residential areas with fewer than 700 households: Support 10 million VND/year/residential area.

Residential areas with 700 to less than 1,000 households: Support 13 million VND/year/residential area.

Residential areas with 1,000 households or more: Support 15 million VND/year/residential area.

Notably, for residential areas in communes with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions (region III communes) according to the decision of competent authorities, in addition to the above support level, each residential area is proposed to receive an additional support of 5 million VND/year.

Thus, if the draft is approved, the Fatherland Front Working Committees in residential areas of communes in area III may be supported from 15 - 20 million VND/year, depending on population size.

The funding for implementation is guaranteed from the provincial budget, allocated to the commune budget in the annual state budget estimate according to the regular expenditure norms.

If approved by the Provincial People's Council, the new resolution will replace Resolution No. 108/2018/NQ-HĐND dated July 11, 2018 on regulations on the level of expenditure to support operating expenses of the Fatherland Front Committee of communes, wards, towns and the Fatherland Front Working Committee in residential areas in Thanh Hoa province.
