On February 28, at the Memorial Area of Heroic Martyr Ly Tu Trong (Ha Tinh province), the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with Ha Tinh province organized the Launching Ceremony of Youth Month 2026 and launched the Tree Planting Tet "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" Binh Ngo Spring.
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, and branches.
Launching the program, Mr. Bui Quang Huy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union emphasized that Youth Month is an opportunity to affirm the pioneering role of youth in implementing socio-economic development tasks.
To make activities truly create new atmosphere and bring practical efficiency, Youth Union levels need to promote propaganda, focus on organizing volunteer and social security activities towards grassroots levels, especially border communes; select content suitable to practical needs, ensure the sustainability of youth projects and tasks; continue to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in Youth Union activities.
Speaking to direct at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra affirmed that Youth Month is not only an annual activity but also a continuation of the tradition of pioneering and volunteering of Vietnamese youth in the new development stage.
Faced with the requirements of the new era, youth need to be pioneers in innovating thinking, creative actions, promoting science and technology and digital transformation, and at the same time actively serving the Fatherland and serving the people.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Youth Union levels to organize activities in the spirit of "clear goals - clear content - clear products - clear responsibilities - clear effectiveness", taking specific contributions to socio-economic development and improving people's lives as a measure.
At the same time, promote the core role in propaganda and mobilization, creating social consensus, contributing to the successful organization of elections to ensure democracy, law, and safety. Youth Union organizations need to actively respond to the movement of planting trees and reforestation, linking planting trees with care, protection and sustainable development.
At the program, the Deputy Prime Minister and delegates performed the ceremony to launch the 2026 Youth Month and launch the Tet tree planting "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" Binh Ngo Spring; participated in planting trees at the memorial area of Heroic Martyr Ly Tu Trong.
On this occasion, the Central Youth Union presented the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union with many social security resources and youth projects, including: 5ha of casuarina trees to shield waves; 5 livelihood models for youth (each model with 2,000 chickens and 1 ton of animal feed); 3 houses of gratitude; 1 library room; free medical examination and medicine distribution for 1,000 people; 2 solar power routes; 350 bauhinia and almond trees from Taiwan; 250 boxes of milk and water; 15 water purifiers and 200 national flags.
Also within the framework of the program, 7 Youth Union - Association - Team units and 7 border communes of Ha Tinh province performed the twinning ceremony, implementing the Project "Vietnamese Youth Accompanying Youth and Children in Border Areas".
