Identifying developing union members, establishing and improving the quality of grassroots trade unions as a key task, the Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation has assigned specific targets to trade unions in communes, wards, and special zones according to the labor situation in each locality.
The Provincial Labor Federation also established the Mobilization Board for Trade Union Member Development, established grassroots trade unions for the period 2026-2030, focusing on non-state-owned enterprises.
In the first 6 months of the year, the whole province newly established 84 grassroots trade unions, reaching 56% of the annual plan. Of which, 61 grassroots trade unions were established in non-state-owned enterprises with 2,953 union members.
Along with organizational development, trade union levels focus on discovering and fostering outstanding workers at enterprises to introduce to the Party for consideration and admission.
On July 11, Quang Yen Ward Trade Union and Dong Mai Ward Trade Union coordinated with Quang Yen Political Center to open a 2026 Party awareness training class for 60 union members and outstanding workers.
Classes are arranged on weekends 11, 12, 18 and 19/7, creating conditions for workers to work in shifts and teams to participate.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga - Chairwoman of Quang Yen Ward Trade Union - said that in 2026, the ward trade union levels introduced 68 trade union members and outstanding workers to participate in the Party awareness training class. Among these, 55 people work in units outside the state sector; 13 union members have been admitted to the Party.
According to Ms. Nga, the creation of sources for Party development is implemented from grassroots trade unions, through reviewing and discovering union members and workers who are outstanding masses for introduction and training. The ward trade union then coordinates with the Political Center to organize classes at favorable times, and at the same time mobilizes businesses to create conditions for workers to participate.
As of July 15, Quang Yen Ward Trade Union has established 13/18 grassroots trade unions, reaching 72.2% of the annual plan; newly admitted 4,639 union members, reaching 105.4% of the annual plan.
The Ward Trade Union also registered the provincial-level "Skillful Mass Mobilization" model in 2026 on propaganda and mobilization of workers to participate in the Vietnam Trade Union organization and mobilize businesses to establish grassroots trade unions.
The Quang Yen Ward Trade Union also coordinated and advised the Lien Hoa Ward Party Committee to propagate and mobilize trade union members who are party members working at Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company to participate in establishing the Party organization.
On July 2nd, the Party Committee of Lien Hoa ward announced the decision to establish the Party Cell of Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park, term 2025-2030, consisting of 6 party members. This is the first Party organization in non-state-owned enterprises in Lien Hoa ward.
