On October 10, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) to organize an emergency relief program for people affected by floods on the VNeID platform.
At the event, Mr. Cao Xuan Thao - Head of the Social Work Department, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, said that three consecutive storms and the circulation after the recent storm caused rain and flooding in the North and North Central regions. The impact of three consecutive storms has left more than 230 people dead or missing and over 360 victims injured. In addition, floods and rains have damaged many traffic works and construction works.
"The total estimated damage to date is over 30,000 billion VND, which is nearly half of the damage caused by Typhoon Yagi in 2024 to our country," said Mr. Thao.
Recently, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and units including the Ministry of Public Security, many organizations and individuals have directly or through bank accounts provided support.
As of 5:00 p.m. on October 9, a total of more than a million people and accounts have registered to support and have donated about 850 billion VND. On the Fatherland Front side, the unit continues to apply technological solutions to receive and manage these support funds to ensure transparency, no errors and will hand them over to 100% of people affected by floods.

According to the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order (C06), implementing the program of joining hands to provide emergency relief to people affected by floods on the VNeID platform is extremely meaningful, practical, and timely for people in flooded areas.
With the spirit of helping each other, applying information technology, digital transformation and the national database platform on population, ID cards, identification, and electronic authentication, C06 activated the implementation of an emergency relief program for people affected by floods on the VNeID platform in 2025.
Through this platform, C06 hopes that people nationwide will support people in flood-affected areas to overcome the heavy damage to people and property, and soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
C06 said that through today's VNeID platform activation program, it is to call on accompanying units to carry out a campaign to spread this program within the business unit and on the application platforms of banks and e-wallets, because people are facing difficulties due to storms and floods.

At the same time, the spirit of "forgetting oneself for the country and serving the people" is being promoted to the highest level, standing side by side with the people to overcome all difficulties and dangers, quickly overcome the consequences of storms and floods, quickly stabilize life, continue to develop the economy and society.
