On the evening of March 6, an online voter contact conference with candidates for the 16th National Assembly of constituency No. 5 was held, from the central bridge point at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city, connecting to 18 bridge points in communes and wards, creating conditions for a large number of voters to follow and participate in contributing opinions.

Constituent unit No. 5 has 5 candidates for the 16th National Assembly, including:
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor;
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Member of the Party Committee Executive Committee, Member of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of the Delegate Affairs Committee, Director of the Department of Delegate Affairs (National Assembly Delegate Affairs Committee);
Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City;
Ms. Ho Thi Hiet - teacher of Tra Nam Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School;
Ms. Dinh Thi Mia - teacher of Vo Nguyen Giap DTBT Secondary School.

At the conference, candidates presented action programs, if trusted by voters to be elected as National Assembly deputies, focusing on socio-economic development contents, taking care of people's lives, especially in difficult areas.
Through the online system, many voters have expressed their expectations for the candidates.
Voter Ho Van The (Tra Linh commune) hopes that candidates when elected as National Assembly deputies will pay more attention to the lives of mountainous people, especially creating sustainable livelihoods for people. According to him, mountainous areas still face many difficulties, and appropriate policies are needed to promote local potential, including preserving and enhancing the value of typical products such as Ngoc Linh ginseng.


Voter Bui Van Toan (Tay Ho commune) proposed that National Assembly deputies after being elected should have policies and decisions prioritizing agricultural and rural development in order to gradually narrow the gap between rural and urban areas.
Mr. Toan also expressed his belief in the capacity and qualities of the candidates, especially highly appreciating candidate Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - who has a lot of practical experience and cares about the issues of workers.


At the Tam My commune bridge point, voter Nguyen Dang said that online voter contact helps many people to follow the action program of candidates, thereby improving publicity and transparency in election campaign activities.
From an organizational perspective, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Phu ward - said that the online voter contact form is an effective way to help a large number of voters have the opportunity to follow and exchange with candidates, contributing to the success of the election. This form needs to be maintained and expanded in the coming time, not only during the election campaign period but also in subsequent voter contact sessions.

On behalf of the candidates, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan exchanged and clarified some issues that voters are interested in. He said that voters' opinions and recommendations on mountainous economic development, rural agriculture or improving people's lives, and equal development between regions are very practical issues and need to be concerned at the policy level.
Mr. Tuan emphasized that if elected as National Assembly deputies by voters, candidates will strive to bring issues that voters are interested in to the assembly hall, participate in building and perfecting mechanisms and policies to promote socio-economic development and care for people's lives.


We greatly appreciate the heartfelt and frank opinions of voters. These are not only specific recommendations from each locality but also major issues that need to be studied and reflected in the policy-making process. If trusted by voters, we will continue to pursue and bring these issues to the forums of the National Assembly," Mr. Tuan said.
Also at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - candidate for National Assembly Deputy of the 16th term - said that voters' opinions clearly express the desire for sustainable and harmonious development between regions. According to Mr. Long, the National Assembly always values listening to people's opinions, and the role of deputies is to truthfully convey those thoughts and aspirations into legislative activities, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country.
Previously, candidates participated in four direct voter contact conferences in Ban Thach, Nui Thanh, Chien Dan and Tien Phuoc. After the online conference on the evening of March 6, the election campaign program continued with direct contact sessions in Tra My and Nam Tra My.
