On September 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) of Vung Tau ward (HCMC) said that in response to the "For the Poor" Peak Month 2026, the unit has planned to implement a series of activities with the aim of awarding more than 300 scholarships to children and supporting difficult circumstances in the area.
In which, the unit mobilized and coordinated with the Southeast Gas Branch - Vietnam Gas Corporation to organize the awarding of 100 scholarships worth a total of 100 million VND to students in difficult circumstances in the area at the Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 organized by Vung Tau Ward People's Committee on the evening of September 22.
Through the program "Connecting Cuisine - Raising Nguyen Huu Tho Scholarship Fund" scheduled to take place on the evening of September 26, with the participation of many religious establishments and neighborhoods in the area, it will help raise funds to continue awarding more than 200 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.
In addition, the unit also organizes other activities such as: a walk program to raise funds and support the "For the Poor" Fund; organizing a Pickleball fundraising tournament; coordinating the organization of mass art and cultural events...
According to the VFF Committee of Vung Tau ward, from mobilizing scholarships during the Mid-Autumn Festival to fundraising activities, they all spread the companionship, sharing, and joint efforts of the whole society to add motivation to those in difficult circumstances, especially children.
Thereby, creating conditions for children to firmly go to school, nurture dreams; supporting those in difficult circumstances to overcome the difficult period and soon stabilize their lives.
