Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 12:00 on July 4, the center of storm No. 1 was located at about 20.5 degrees North latitude; 108 degrees East longitude, about 50km northeast of Bach Long Vi special zone (Hai Phong), about 110km south of Mong Cai (Quang Ninh).
The strongest wind is about level 9 (75 - 88km/h), gusting at level 11. In the next 3 hours, the storm will move in the North-Northwest direction, speed about 15km/h.

Due to the circulation of storm No. 1, in Bach Long Vi special zone there were strong winds of level 9, gusts of level 10; Co To had strong winds of level 7, gusts of level 9, waves 2.25m high; Cua Ong had strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8.
Forecast for the next 12 hours, the storm will move in a North-Northwest direction at a speed of about 15 km/h. By 22:00 on July 4, the storm's center will be located at about 21.8 degrees North latitude - 107.9 degrees East longitude; over the southern area of Guangxi province (China). Intensity level 8, gusts level 10.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will move northward at a speed of about 10-15 km/h, gradually weakening into a tropical depression. By 10:00 AM on July 5th, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 23 degrees North latitude - 108 degrees East longitude; over the southern area of Guangxi province (China). Intensity level 6, gusts level 8.
Regarding heavy rain on land, from this afternoon July 4th, rain tends to increase. The affected area is the Northeast region. From the afternoon July 4th to the end of July 5th, there will be heavy rain, common rainfall of 70 - 150mm; especially the Northeast region will have heavy to very heavy rain of 150 - 250mm, locally over 450mm.
Heavy rain may cause flooding in urban areas, industrial parks and low-lying areas; increasing the risk of floods on small rivers and streams, flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.
Due to the impact of the storm's circulation, it is necessary to prevent the risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong gusts of wind both before and during the storm's landfall.
For coastal land areas, affected areas: Coastal areas of provinces/cities Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Hung Yen.
Risk of wind gradually strengthening to level 6, near the storm center level 7-8, gusts level 9-10; sea waves 2-3.5m high; storm surge of about 0.2-0.4m.
Strong winds can blow off roofs, damage temporary structures, break down green trees, billboards; affect electrical systems, communication and traffic. Large waves combined with rising water can cause localized flooding in river mouths, tidal flats and low-lying areas; affect dykes, seawalls and coastal works.
At sea, the affected area is the Gulf of Tonkin (including Bach Long Vi special zone, Van Don, Co To, Cat Hai and Hon Dau island).
Risk of strong winds at level 6-7, near the storm center level 8-9, gusts at level 11; sea waves 2-4.5m high; very rough seas.
Dangerous weather conditions can cause capsizing, sinking or damage to fishing boats, transport boats, tourist boats and vehicles operating at sea; aquaculture cages, boat anchorage areas and coastal works are at risk of being damaged. Seafood exploitation, transportation and tourism activities at sea are likely to be interrupted.
