Mr. Trinh Ngoc Son - Deputy General Director of Hanoi Drainage Company Limited - said that at that time, Hanoi only had light rain so there were no flooding spots. However, the company still implements preventive measures such as arranging forces and vehicles to be on duty at key locations to be ready to handle flooding.
The main pumping stations are operated properly, such as: Yen So pumping station (operating 4/20 units at 4:00 p.m.), Cau Buu pumping station, Dong Bong 1 and 2 pumping stations, Co Nhue pumping station, Da Sy pumping station... to lower the water level on the drainage system. The blast gates are operated according to procedures, ensuring traffic safety in low-lying areas.
According to Mr. Son, the company has deployed on-duty work, collecting garbage at collection stations, opening floodgates of regulating lakes and operating the maximum capacity of pumping stations to lower the water level of the system in accordance with regulations.
At 4:00 p.m. on October 6, 2025, the company's forces and vehicles continued to be on duty, operating the main pumping station according to the process, while cleaning and clearing the flow.
