On September 2, combined with the joy of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Vietnam Volunteer Community (VNV) coordinated with the Youth Union of Hoan Kiem Ward to launch the campaign "Clean Hanoi - For a Green Vietnam", leaving a deep impression in the hearts of the people of the capital.
On August 30 and September 2, more than 500 volunteers simultaneously campaigned to clean up the environment at many central locations, such as: Hoan Kiem Lake - Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Con Coc Flower Garden (Ngo Quyen), Co Tan Flower Garden - Trang Tien. Many young people have also proactively gone to other areas such as Ngoc Ha and Hong Ha dyke to clean up, contributing to beautifying the appearance of the streets. The amount of garbage collected in the 2 days of the campaign was 400 bags, spread across 6 streets of Hoan Kiem ward.

In particular, at Hoan Kiem Lake, people and international tourists expressed their gratitude for the beautiful actions of the volunteers. Some business households also voluntarily participated in the sweeping, showing the positive influence of the campaign.
The image of young people in green shirts, diligently picking up each piece of garbage on the sidewalk and along the lake has left a beautiful impression in the eyes of the people of the capital. The campaign ended with hundreds of trash bags being processed, but the greater value was the message: "Clap your heads and pick up trash, stand proud of green Hanoi".
The representative of the Hoan Kiem Ward Youth Union affirmed: "This is a meaningful activity, not only beautifying the streets but also inspiring the sense of responsibility of young people towards the community. We hope that the campaign will be maintained regularly, so that Hanoi will become greener - cleaner - more beautiful.
Mr. Do Van De - Chairman of VNV - affirmed: "Celebrating National Day is not only a solemn ceremony, but also a continuation of tradition through practical actions. That is the way the younger generation continues to write the history of patriotism in peacetime.

Amidst the atmosphere of the flag and the National Day resounding, the image of young people quietly cleaning up trash has become a proud beauty. The campaign ended, but the echoes remained: Hanoi - the heart of the whole country - was forever green, civilized, rich in identity, thanks to the small but persistent actions of today's young generation.
