According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, through monitoring on satellite images, thunderstorm location data and weather radar, convective clouds are being detected in the communes/wards of Xuan Mai, Quang Bi, Chuong My, Yen Nghia, An Khanh, Phu Luong.
In the Hanoi area, in the next 30 minutes to 3 hours (from 7:05 a.m. on September 16), this cloud area will cause rain in the above areas, then spread to other wards/communes in the city. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.
Previously, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting made a assessment of notable weather trends in some areas from the night of September 17 to September 25.
The Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the Northeast region from September 18 to 21, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms at night and in the morning. From September 23 to 25, the weather will be generally sunny.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city during the above forecast period will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially the area from South Quang Tri to Hue from around September 19th will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
The South Central Coast region from September 18 to September 25 is forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, with some places having heavy rain.
The Central and Southern Highlands will have showers and scattered showers in the late afternoon and evening, with some places having heavy rain; from around September 20, the rain is likely to gradually decrease.
The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
