On August 30, the Management Board of Industrial Parks (IPs) of Lam Dong province said that it had just sent a document to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, requesting coordination in inspecting compliance with the law on environmental protection for the Investor of Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2.
According to the Management Board of Lam Dong Industrial Parks, despite being urged and reminded many times, Trung Nguyen Steel Company Limited - the project investor - has not yet completed environmental legal regulations.

According to this document, the investor has not installed an automatic wastewater monitoring station and connected and transmitted data directly to the Department of Agriculture and Environment according to regulations.
The project's centralized wastewater treatment plant has the phenomenon of treating wastewater exceeding the capacity of the environmental license. However, up to now, the investor has not increased capacity and carried out environmental licensing procedures according to regulations.
From the above reality, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment and related units to urgently conduct an inspection of compliance with the law on environmental protection for the investor of Phan Thiet Industrial Park, phase 2. From there, there are measures to handle according to regulations.
Phan Thiet Industrial Park is invested in 2 phases.
Phase 2 was approved by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province (before the merger) in 2005, with an area of 40.7 hectares. The investor has basically completed the infrastructure. The occupancy rate is currently over 70%.
