On March 11, Da Nang City People's Committee said that it had issued an official dispatch requesting departments and branches to urgently coordinate and remove obstacles to soon put Bac Quang Nam Domestic Waste Treatment Plant back into operation.
Based on the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested Huy Hoang Eco Environment Joint Stock Company to proactively contact functional units to provide dossiers, review and complete legal procedures.
The contents to be completed include: land procedures, detailed planning, environmental dossiers, technology processes and contents adjusting investment policies (if any). The goal is to create a solid legal basis to put the factory into operation in accordance with regulations. The City People's Committee sets the completion time of all these procedures before March 15.
At the same time, Huy Hoang Eco Environment Joint Stock Company must be responsible for managing the amount of residual raw materials, treating waste generated and ensuring absolute regulations on environmental protection in this period.
To support accelerating progress, city leaders assigned the Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agriculture and Environment and City Police to guide businesses to complete dossiers according to their authority, and promptly report contents beyond their authority.
Assign the People's Committee of Dai Loc commune to support legal completion, strengthen local management and ensure security and order in the project area.
Regarding the amount of waste generated when the plant has not resumed operation, the city agreed on the policy of hiring a consulting unit to survey and comprehensively assess the infrastructure and capacity of Dai Hiep waste treatment area. The survey results will be the basis for proposing appropriate management and operation plans, ensuring environmental safety and feasibility.
