Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 p.m. on August 28, the center of the tropical depression was at about 15.3 degrees north latitude, 115.1 degrees east longitude in the northern East Sea, about 360km east-southeast of the Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7 (39-61km/h), gusting to level 9. Moving west at a speed of 10km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move west-northwest at a speed of 15-20km/h.
At 7:00 p.m. on August 29, the center was at about 17 degrees north latitude, 111.5 degrees east longitude, in the Hoang Sa special zone. Strong wind level 8, gust level 10. The danger zone is between 14.5 - 18 degrees north latitude, 111 - 116.5 degrees east longitude. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 in the northern East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone), north of the central East Sea.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move west-northwest at a speed of about 20km/h.
At 7:00 p.m. on August 30, the center was at about 17.8 degrees north latitude, 107.3 degrees east longitude, in the sea from Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue. Strong wind level 8, gust level 10.
The danger zone is between 15 - 19 degrees north latitude, 106.5 - 112 degrees east longitude. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 in the western sea area of the northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone) and the sea area from Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm will continue to move mainly westward, traveling about 20km per hour and gradually weakening.
Regarding the impact of the tropical depression at sea, the northern East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) and the northern sea area of the central East Sea will have strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusts of level 9; waves 2 - 4m high, rough seas.
Ship operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and large waves.
