Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on September 3, the center of storm No. 3 Yagi was located at about 18.6 degrees north latitude; 119.1 degrees east longitude, in the eastern sea of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 9 (75 - 88 km/h), gusting to level 11, moving west-northwest, about 15 km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours , storm No. 3 will move west-northwest at a speed of about 10km/h. At 1:00 p.m. on September 4, the center of the storm will be at about 19.1 degrees north latitude - 117.4 degrees east longitude; about 730km east of Hainan Island (China).
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 10 - 11, gusting to level 13.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours , storm No. 3 will move westward at a speed of 10 - 15 km/h. At 13:00 on September 5, the center of the storm will be at about 19 degrees north latitude - 114.4 degrees east longitude; about 400 km east of Hainan Island (China).
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 12 - 13, gusting to level 16.
It is forecasted that in the next 72 hours , storm No. 3 will move west-northwest at a speed of about 10 - 15 km/h. At 1:00 p.m. on September 6, the center of the storm will be at about 19.4 degrees north latitude - 111.4 degrees east longitude; in the sea east of Hainan Island (China).
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 14, gusting to level 17.
From the next 72 to 120 hours , the storm moves mainly in the west-northwest direction, traveling 10 - 15km per hour, with little change in intensity.
Regarding the impact of the storm , Vietnam's meteorological agency said that up to now, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and meteorological agencies around the world have all determined that storm No. 3 Yagi is likely to affect our mainland in the coming days.
At sea, the eastern sea area of the North East Sea has strong winds of level 8 - 9, the area near the storm's eye has winds of level 10 - 11, gusting to level 13; the sea is very rough.
In the next 24 hours, the eastern sea of the North East Sea, the waves are 2 - 4m high, the area near the storm center is 3 - 5m.
