The meteorological agency noted that the time the storm impacts will be earlier than the time the storm makes landfall. Due to the influence of a wide storm circulation, it is necessary to be on guard against the risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong gusts of wind both before and during the storm's landfall.

On October 5, there will be local thunderstorms in the Northern and Central regions.

The mountainous and midland areas of the North from the night of October 5 to October 7 are forecast to have heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 130 - 200mm, some places over 350mm.

The Northern Delta and Thanh Hoa from the night of October 5 to October 7 are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 50 - 150mm, some places over 200mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain over 150mm/3 hours.

In the Northeast region on the evening of October 5, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10 - 30mm, some places over 50mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

On the night of October 7, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 20 - 50mm, some places over 70mm. Other places in the North and Thanh Hoa will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10 - 30mm, some places over 50mm.

The total rainfall from the night of October 5 to the end of the night of October 7 in the mountainous and midland areas of the North will generally be 150 - 250mm, with some places having very heavy rain over 400mm. The Northern Delta and Thanh Hoa are generally 70 - 150mm, some places over 200mm.

The meteorological agency warns that the risk of natural disasters due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.

Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, industrial parks; flash floods on small rivers and streams; landslides on steep slopes.
