    Due to the impact of the tropical depression, the northwest sea area of the Northern East Sea has strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 9; strong sea waves.

    Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 13:00 on August 19, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 19.6 degrees North latitude - 112.2 degrees East longitude, over the northwest sea area of the Northern East Sea, about 180km east of Hainan Island (China).

    The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 6 (39-49 km/h), gusting at level 8. The tropical depression is moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of 5-10 km/h.

    Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move in a westerly direction at a speed of about 5 km/h and is likely to strengthen further.

    By 13:00 on August 20, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 19.7 degrees North latitude - 111 degrees East longitude; in the northeast sea area of Hainan Island (China). Wind intensity is strong at level 6 - 7, gusting at level 9.

    The dangerous area is in the range from 18.5 to 21 degrees North latitude; from the 109.5 to 113.0 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the northwestern sea area of the Northern East Sea.

    Forecast for the next 48 hours, the tropical depression will move in a West-Northwest direction, at a speed of about 5 km/h.

    By 13:00 on August 21, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 20.1 degrees North latitude - 109.9 degrees East longitude; in the northern area of Hainan Island (China). Wind intensity will maintain at level 6 - 7, gusting at level 9.

    The dangerous area is located between 18.5 and 21.5 degrees North latitude; from the 109th to 112th degree East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the northwestern sea area of the Northern East Sea and the eastern sea area of the Gulf of Tonkin.

    From the next 48 to 72 hours, the tropical depression will move slowly in a West-Northwest direction, moving about 5km per hour.

    Regarding the impact of the tropical depression, the northwest sea area of the Northern East Sea area has strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusts of level 9; sea waves are 2 - 4m high; strong rough seas.

    Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
