The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 6 (39 - 49 km/h), gusting at level 8. The tropical depression is moving in a westerly direction at a speed of 20 - 25 km/h.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of 5 - 10 km/h and is likely to strengthen further.
By 7:00 AM on August 20, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 19.6 degrees North latitude - 111.2 degrees East longitude; in the northeast sea area of Hainan Island (China). Wind intensity is strong at level 7, gusting at level 9.
