According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and this morning (September 29), Quang Tri province, Central and Southern highlands had scattered showers and thunderstorms.
On the day and night of July 29, it is forecasted that the western area of Quang Tri province, the Central and Southern highlands will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15 - 30mm, locally over 60mm. The rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The meteorological agency warns of the risk of natural disasters due to tornadoes, lightning, and hail at level 1. Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
Regarding the sea weather, the North East Sea area, the sea area from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. Phu Quy Special Zone has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8.
Day and night of July 29, the North and Central East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have southwest winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; rough seas, waves from 3 - 5m high.
The sea area from Gia Lai to Ho Chi Minh City has southwest winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8; rough seas, waves from 2 - 4m high.
The North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone), the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will continue to have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 7 - 8.
On the day and night of July 30, the North and Central East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) will continue to have strong southwest winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; waves 3 - 5m high, rough seas. The sea area from Gia Lai to Ho Chi Minh City will have strong southwest winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8; waves of 2 - 4m high, rough seas.
The meteorological agency warns that the risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above sea areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.
