According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently, convective clouds in the east are tending to move from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan, the Southern Central Highlands and the South.
From Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan, the Southern Central Highlands and the South on the day and night of September 26, there is forecast to be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10 - 30mm, locally over 50mm. Rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening.
The Meteorological Agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams; and landslides on steep slopes.
Regarding sea weather, currently, the southern sea area of the area between the East Sea and the South East Sea area (including the sea area of the Truong Sa archipelago) has showers and thunderstorms.
Forecast for the day and night of September 26, the sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, the sea area south of the area between the East Sea and the South East Sea (including the sea area of Truong Sa archipelago) will have showers and thunderstorms. During the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7 - 8.
All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
