Mr. Nguyen Khac Than becomes the new Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province

Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) attended the Ceremony to announce the National Assembly's Resolution on the merger and consolidation of Hung Yen province and Thai Binh province into Hung Yen province (new); announced the Politburo's Decision to establish the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; resolutions and decisions of the National Assembly, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front related to the activities of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province and announced the province's decisions related to the activities of Party committees, authorities, and Vietnam Fatherland Front of communes and wards.

The Prime Minister decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen Khac Than to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province (new) for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was born in 1974; hometown An Thanh commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province (now Hung Yen province). He has a bachelor's degree in Law, Master's degree in Economic Management; Senior in political theory.

During his working in Thai Binh province, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than held the following positions: Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Phu district, Secretary of the Quynh Phu district Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province.

In December 2024, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was elected by the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
