The document clearly states that, according to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the evening of June 8 to June 10, on small rivers, upstream of main rivers in the Northern region, there is a possibility of a flood, the flood amplitude on rivers is 2-4m; the peak flood water level on small rivers is likely to rise to level BĐ1-BĐ2, which may cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, affecting activities such as waterway traffic, aquaculture, agricultural production, people's livelihoods and socio-economic activities.
To proactively respond to floods, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense proposes that the People's Committees of provinces and cities in the Northern region:
Closely monitor flood developments; promptly inform people in areas at risk of flooding to proactively prevent and avoid.
Notify cages and rafts owners; investors with projects under construction along the river; owners of waterway transport and mineral exploitation vehicles to know flood information to proactively take measures to ensure safety for people, cages, vehicles, equipment and works.
Arrange forces to control and guide traffic, especially through bridges, underpasses, spillways, deep flooded areas, and fast-flowing water.
Be ready with flood prevention plans, ensure safety according to alarm levels; maintain forces and rescue vehicles to be ready to respond when requested.
Directing local radio and television stations to strengthen information about flood developments and prevention and avoidance skills to people and levels of government.
Be on duty seriously, regularly report to the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense (through the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment).
