The strongest wind near the storm center is level 13-14 (134-166 km/h), gusting to level 17. The storm is moving west-northwest at a speed of 20 - 25 km/h.

Storm No. 13 continues to strengthen in the next 24 hours before making landfall
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will move west-northwest at a speed of about 25 km/h. At 1:00 p.m. on November 6, the center of the storm was at about 13.3 degrees north latitude; 111.8 degrees east longitude, about 290 km east-southeast of Quy Nhon (Gia Lai). The strongest wind is level 14, gusting to level 17.
According to Mr. Mai Van Khiem - Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, around the night of November 6 (after 9:00 p.m. on November 6) to early morning of November 7, the storm made landfall in the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak,
It is forecasted that in the next 36 hours, the storm will continue to move west-northwest, at a speed of about 25 km/h. At 1:00 a.m. on November 7, the storm center was at about 14.0 degrees north latitude; 109.1 degrees east longitude, on the mainland along the coast of Quang Ngai - Dak Lak. Strong wind level 12, gust level 15.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the storm will move deep into the mainland, gradually weakening into a tropical depression. At 1:00 p.m. on November 7, the center of the tropical depression was at about 15 degrees north latitude; 106.2 degrees east longitude, on the mainland south of Laos. Strong wind level 6, gust level 8.
It is forecasted that in the next 60 hours, the tropical depression will weaken into a low pressure area over the Thai area, with winds below level 6.
The focus of strong winds due to storms in the east of Quang Ngai - Dak Lak
A representative of the meteorological agency said that from the evening of November 6, the coastal area from southern Quang Tri to Da Nang city and the east of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will gradually increase to level 6-7, then increase to level 8-9.
"The area near the storm center has strong winds of level 10-12. The focus is on the east of Quang Ngai - Dak Lak, with gusts of level 14-15. The strongest wind time is from the evening of November 6 to the morning of November 7" - Mr. Khiem said.
From the evening and night of November 6, the western provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and the northern area of Khanh Hoa will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, near the storm center level 8-9, gusting to level 11.
Regarding the situation of heavy rain, according to Mr. Khiem, from November 6 to 7, the area from Da Nang city to Dak Lak will have very heavy rain with common rainfall of 200 - 400 mm/ods, locally over 600 mm/ods. The area from southern Quang Tri to Hue city, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong will have heavy rain, generally 150 - 300 mm/ods, locally over 450 mm/ods. From November 8, the rain will gradually decrease.
From November 7 to 8, the northern area from Quang Tri to Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain, common rainfall of 50 - 150 mm/ods, locally over 200 mm/ods.
Warning of a high risk of high-intensity rain with rainfall greater than 200 mm/3 hours and thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong gusts of wind before and during the storm's landfall.
At sea, the central East Sea area (including the sea area north of Truong Sa special zone) has strong winds of level 8-11, the area near the storm center has strong winds of level 12-14, gusts of level 17; waves 5-7 m high, the area near the storm center has 8-10 m, the sea is very rough.
From early morning on November 6, the sea area from southern Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa (including Ly Son special area, Cu Lao Cham island) will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then increasing to level 8-11, near the storm center will be strong at level 12-14, gusts of level 17; waves 3-5 m high, near the storm center will be 6-8 m, the sea will be very rough.
Coastal areas from Hue city to Dak Lak have storm surge of 0.3 - 0.6 m. From the evening of November 6, it is necessary to be on guard against sea surge combined with large waves causing flooding in low-lying coastal areas, waves of dykes, coastal erosion, slowing flood drainage. All ships and aquaculture areas in the danger zone are strongly affected by rising winds, waves and sea levels.
