Weather forecast for the next 24 to 48 hours
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for the coming days in regions across the country. Accordingly, cold air will affect the weather in the North and Central regions.
The Northern region on the night of January 1st is forecast to have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; from January 2nd, there will be light rain in some places. It will turn cold; especially in mountainous areas, it will be very cold, with dangerous cold in some places. High mountainous areas of the Northern region need to be wary of frost.
Thanh Hoa and Nghe An areas have light rain in some places, especially on the night of January 1 and morning of January 2, there is rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. The weather turns cold.
The area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang city and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have light rain in some places, from near the morning of January 2, 2026, there will be rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally with moderate to heavy rain. The North will turn cold.
Other areas have showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, sunny days.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Weather trend forecast from the night of January 3 to January 11, 2026
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting gives a noteworthy weather trend in some areas from the night of January 3rd to January 11th, 2026.
The Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have light rain in some places. It will be cold, with places experiencing severe cold; especially in the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region, it will be very cold, with places experiencing severe cold. High mountainous areas of the Northern region need to be wary of frost.
The area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang city, the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa on the night of January 3 will have rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places; then rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. The north will be cold.
Other areas have showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, sunny days; especially the Southern region on January 5 - 6, 2026 has rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.
