Weather forecast for the next 24 to 48 hours
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for the coming days in areas across the country. The cold air mass is about to impact, causing a clear change in the weather. The Northern and North Central regions will turn cold, while the provinces from Ha Tinh to the south will also experience localized thunderstorms, with some places experiencing very heavy rain.
The Northern region and Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces will have rain, showers and thunderstorms on the night of December 24 and the morning of December 25. From noon on December 25, there will be rain in some places. From the night of December 24, the weather will turn cold, mountainous areas will be very cold, some places will be very cold.
The area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang city and the east of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will have scattered showers; from December 25, there will be rain, moderate rain, locally heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. From the night of December 25, the North will have cold nights and mornings.
Other areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; the South and Lam Dong from the evening of December 24 to the evening of December 25 will have rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Weather trend forecast from the night of December 26, 2025 to January 3, 2026
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has made a statement on notable weather trends in some areas from the night of December 26, 2025 to January 3, 2026.
The Northern region and from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will have rain in some places. From the night of December 26 to December 28, the weather will be cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing severe cold; from around December 29-30, the night and morning will be cold.
The area from Quang Tri to Da Nang city and the East of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa will have scattered rain and showers. The north will be cold at night and in the morning until around December 28, from December 29.
Other areas in the next 10 days are forecast to have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night; sunny during the day. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
